The transmission is a Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 ( THM 350 ) which is commonly just called TH 350. It is a 3-speed Automatic Transmission ( 3 forward speeds + reverse ) produced by General Motors, first used in 1969 and prevalent in nearly all rear wheel drive vehicles through to 1984. Apologies for no recent updates but my mum passed away this year, so sadly she will not see the completion of the project. The wings ( or fenders if you are from USA ) were completed in the base coat, with the final gold colour completed on the shuts. The side vent openings had to be completely rebuilt so that the vents will be able to be fitted at a later date ( sample image below )

Progress! The driver's door arrived back from the paint shop today. The inside, including the shuts, have been painted in the chosen gold...
